Chicken - Agree to a point, but it's a 26 man squad so as others have already said you can take a risk or 2. I actually think Maguire will be ready sooner rather than later.

Joke that he’s including Maguire and Henderson!

I agree, I think he would have made an impact off the bench and worked his way in to the side. Whites inclusion also backs the theory going around that Maguire won't be ready until the knock out games. crazy

Laughable to take White, but if we are still interested in Lingard it should help that he isn't on the plane.

Re: England's (provisional extended) squad for Euro 2020
ok. that makes lingard & ward prowse's exclusions even more bewildering. that phillips is beyond ordinary, and henderson showed enough with that childish penalty shit yesterday that should both have been booted

The final squads are 26 .... extra COVID allowance

Though think I read Spain have only picked 24

selected to the 26, but not confirmed for the 23?

Only watched a bit at the end yesterday.
Every time I have seen Lingard for England his energy and movement stands out especially compared to some selected.
The fact that there isnt a spot for him in a squad of 26 frankly astounds me.

Ben White chosen as TAA replacement

Southgate strikes again

Now that Terence Trent D'Arby has pulled out injured surely James Ward Prowse deserves the gig?

You can never have enough set piece specialists...they usually make all the difference whether it's a corner, free kick or penalty.

He has played in South London, Birmingham & Middlesbrough
I suspect that is his own wardrobe when not kitted out by the high couture English fashion stylists at Marks & Spencer via the FA.

Has it ever occurred to you to wonder why you're on the wrong side of any given debate that happens on this forum, Andy?

Sorry, not a stand in for McGuire you're right.

But I suppose the idea is that Southgate is only picking ball playing center backs then I dont know why Coady is there?

Also for me, I'd prefer to have 1 of my CB's who literally doesnt faf about and does the basic dirty stuff. Rio & Vidic etc.. Does Stones & mcGuire even work?

Its all confusing. But on just defensive form alone (regardless of ball playing ability) Dawson should really be in the squad given the season he has had.

It appears that Mr Southgate isn't particularly good at anything. I can see us not making it out of the group quite easily.

It looked like he'd been out on the pull the night before and got dressed in the other blokes clothes.
If the other bloke was an unemployed Middlesbrough chemical factory worker called Darren

you are saying "Dawson is a stand in for McGuire" What are you on about - Mcguire's strength is his ability to bring the ball out of defence like a sweeper would he's good on the ball - I have kittens everytime Dawson tries to dribble the ball.... yes both are good in the air but don't compare their ability n the ball McGuire is in a different league to Dawson

Re: England's (provisional extended) squad for Euro 2020
I wouldn't have Dawson in the squad purely because he will need a rock of partner at the back. This was shown in games for us when Oggy was injured.......all the other England centre backs remind me more of Diop.
